LCWA couldn't be as successful as it has been without the help of the people at Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office (Lee County Office). As one of our Advisors we take every comment/idea they have to heart.
Another very helpful Advisor is the TPWD Biologist (Laura Sherrod). Mrs. Sherrod designs and conducts studies on the wildlife resources of Lee County. Mrs. Sherrod conduct surveys of wildlife species and their habitats, formulate recommendations for hunting seasons and bag limits, analyze data, prepare reports. Mrs. Sherrod frequently assist landowners with the conservation, management and development of wildlife habitat and the proper management of the various wildlife populations which utilize that habitat.

The Texas Wildlife Association (TWA) and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) have joined forces to offer youth hunts that are safe, educational and very affordable. We sponsor introductory, instructive youth hunts for a variety of species. We provide mentors, lodging and meals.
If you know a youth (in Lee County and is a current LCWA member) that is interested in hunting next deer season please let LCWA know. We will be sending 4 to 8 students to hunt on Properties here in Lee County.
